I’ve been at my job for two weeks and came in this morning to this email from my boss.
As members of the Sales Team , we have a responsibility to set a standard in the workplace. As such, we all need to be reminded of some things sometimes, and this is one of those times:
Without specifically citing passages from the Employee Handbook, the use of profanity is unwelcome in the workplace. Also, keep your voice down. People in other departments do not necessarily want to hear what you have to say.
So, please keep it clean and keep it quiet. We do NOT want word choices to become HR issues.
I cannot help but think I *may* have been the cause of this little reminder. I mentioned yesterday after lunch that I was sweating like a whore in church and it was not well received.
That’s okay, I’m quitting today. Fuck ’em.
